Golfer John Daly Was At The Sinatra Soiree...In Spirit

by MADELEINE STARKEY · July 16, 2010

We couldn't help but notice a similarity between the Brooks Brothers and the Lily Pulitzers who attended last night's Sinatra Soiree and a one Mr. John Daly.

For those of you who watch golf (how do you really watch golf...we suppose the proper word is "follow") you know of Daly and his sartorial (and all around) life antics.

For you folks who do not follow the Scottish past time, Daly is renowned for his nonconformist approach to the game of golf that is steeped in tradition.  Some even call his flashy duds "inappropriate."

Anywho, Daly and Sinatra Soiree party goers share an affinity for bright colors and loud patterns.

    - How ironic it is that the very demographic oft associated with golf denigrates Daly's golf attire yet dons similar prints and patterns to parties.  Is Daly simply too dressed up on the course?

Daly's gear is fine.  No harm no foul.  What is inappropriate in golf is this:
