Date Night DC's New Valentine's Day Tourism Campaign "Get A Room"

Date Night DC, part of DC's Tourism Office, in partnership with LivingSocial, is revamping the city's image in time for Valentine's Day. In a push to increase DC winter tourism revenue, the tourism office is hoping that people will see DC as a sexy, romantic city.

The ad campaign, "Get A Room," tries to be funny and shocking by showing couples in compromising positions at restaurants. Not everyone thinks that the ads will be that successful, as the Washington City Paper, wrote humorously that "bones-jumping in a restaurant does nothing for local tax revenue."
