Salahi's Oasis Winery to Re-Open With Hollywood-Themed Bash

Tareq and Michaele Salahi are re-opening Oasis Winery in a month for "Hollywood Oasis -- When Glamour Meets the Capital Region," in a party with Howard Cromwell from DC's MOST FABULOUS Magazine. According to the invitation, the party has been "tapped for a television project."

The release claims a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Society -- National Capital Chapter.

Twice, the invitation mentions Oasis Winery as one of the "top 10 wineries in the world." We watched the RHODC, and those grapes looked pretty raisiny to us (and we will never forget Cat Ommanney's reaction when Tareq handed her a wine glass full of beer). Perhaps it was an old rating, perhaps the winery is back to its former glory, or perhaps they pulled that ranking from the same place they found their White House invitation.

The Salahis have a reputation for not paying their bills. Recently, Revamp.com said Tommy McFly said Michael Lohan said the pair stiffed him when they rented his Los Angeles home.

In spite of the snarkiness, we are all for people raising money for a good cause, of course. We hope this event raises some money--not for their unpaid bills--but actually for MS! ...like Ryan Zimmerman's ziMS event a few months ago at Nationals Stadium, which raised $25,000 for people suffering from the disease.
