The White House Correspondents' dinner is one of the most coveted invitations each year, and its cache has only increased under the glamorous presidency of Barack Obama. What bold-names from Hollywood, New Media, and the fashion world made the cut?-
Representing Hollywood will be Jessica Alba with her husband Cash Warren, Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw, Michelle Pfeiffer, David E. Kelley, and Michael Douglas. Pretty standard choices, none of whom are having a particularly relevant or "in" moment, with the exception perhaps of Douglas, whose "Wall Street 2" will be coming out soon.
From the Fashion World, Glamour Magazine's Cindi Leive will attend, along with Michelle Obama's favorite designer, Jason Wu. From the media world, Google's chief executive officer Eric Schmidt was invited, and Ana Maria Cox.
Hopefully some other guests will be announced closer to the May 1st date, because, sort of boring, no? We definitely need a Captain Sully figure in there, so if you're planning on doing any heroic deeds, you have about two weeks to make it in time to get an invite.
