What Are You Most Excited About In This First Issue?
Laura:That’s a hard question to answer! I love Pat Fallon’s story about Quincy Davis and her family. Pat grew up in the lineup right alongside Quincy and her brother, Tyler. A lot is being said about Quincy right now in media, but I thought his interview with her was really special because it was from an insider’s point of view and is a portrait of the whole family, how they consider Montauk the source of what brings them together and has helped fuel each of their interesting careers.I also love the Port of Montauk photo essay by photographer Adam Guy with words by Elien Becque. It shows a side of Montauk, off-season commercial fishing, that many visitors never even know about. Fishing is very much the essence of what built Montauk.
