In 2009, Sting's four-bedroom apartment at The Brentmore, 88 Central Park West, went on sale to the highest bidder for $19 million. The duplex unit was sold to Sting in the 1980s by another member of rock and roll royalty, Billy Joel. Robert De Niro also used to live in this historic, pre-war Beaux Art, high-rise building.
