Underline Gallery, BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG LOVE

Underline Gallery, BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG LOVE
In an homage to Jay McInerney's Bright Lights, Big City, a novel exploring the false seductions of New York, Underline Gallery presents a group exhibition exploring "the fragility and uncertainty of intimacy against the backdrop of some of the coldest months of the year." Artists Ellie Pyle, Cisco Merel, Mie Yim, Mark Reigelman, Barbara Stanczak, Bhumika Bhatia, Lauri Recanati, and Richard Lund portray realms of love and loss through a variety of mediums, including light installations, sculpture, painting, and photography. Heartbroken art lovers may find solace in this exhibition which echoes Mr. McInerney's infamous words: “Your heartbreak is just another version of the same old story.” Through March 31 at Underline Gallery, 238 West 14th St. Opening Reception: February 9, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. For more information, go HERE.
