Gala-vanter
Each year, the Costume Institute (now named for Anna), housed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, holds what is referred to as the Met Gala. Since its inception, it has been hosted by Vogue magazine, edited by Anna Wintour, who oversees both the benefit committee and the list of attendees. Page Six reported that Kim Kardashian was banned from attending the event in 2012, despite her ability to pay the exorbitant ticket price. Like the Oscars, the Met Gala serves as a 'who's who' and 'what's what', complete with a theme celebrating a movement in fashion history.
