TAO Downtown
Overview: In the fall, TAO Downtown launched as the new, sprawling mega-club to take on all mega-clubs. It's maintained that reputation since then, with major headline-making events that have become a norm for the venue. The space regularly draws in a crowd outside the velvet ropes who are looking to head downstairs to Nur Khan's Asian-inspired lounge that's become home to notables and VIPs.

Insider's Scorecard: We were on hand for the incredible opening event last fall, and since then the venue has managed to top itself time and time again. The Victoria's Secret after-party brought a lust-worthy crowd in for one of the most coveted events in NYC. However, little can compare with Leonardo DiCaprio's birthday party, where the entire dining room was filled up with partygoers who were treated to a performance by Kanye West.
