Bastille Day - Paris, France
Bastille Day, or Le Fete Nationale as its known in France, is France's Independence Day. It gained its name as the day that the French people stormed the Bastille. Now, on July 14th each year, the French people celebrate their independence with the oldest and largest military parade in Europe on the Champes Elysees, with free public concerts, dances, and fireworks. Though it is celebrated across Europe, Paris is truly the place to be on Bastille Day.
