This stone mosaic is beautiful in and of itself, but what makes it stand out is the fact that it's the backdrop for an amphitheater stage. In the Seattle Center's Mural Amphitheater created in 1962, the mural by artist Paul Horiuchi provides a colorful focus to the performance space, so you know anything set before it will be good.
