GET THE LOOK:
1. FOUNDATION: Start with clean, moisturized skin. Apply the
Make Up For Ever Skin Equalizer primer best for your skin type; we used Mattifying Primer on Natalie's combination skin. Using a damp
beautyblender sponge, apply
Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Coverage Foundation, a high-definition foundation that photographs beautifully; we used #117 on Natalie. Finally, as needed to conceal under eyes and on the face, use the F75 concealer brush from the
Sigma Complete Kit to brush on the right shade(s) from
Make Up For Ever 5 Camouflage Cream Palette; we used the No. 1 palette.
2. POWDER: Set foundation with loose or pressed powder. Try
Make Up For Ever Super Matte Loose Powder in 12 Translucent Natural or
HD Pressed Powder which is best for light skin tones.
3. FINISHING POWDER: To avoid looking washed-out and for a very subtle glow, use the F40 brush from the Sigma kit to lightly sweep on the
Dim Light shade from Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, a finely milled neutral beige, where you would normally apply bronzer.
4. EYE SHADOWS: Using the E55 brush from the Sigma kit, apply the melon shade from
Kevyn Aucoin The Essential Eye Shadow Palette 1 onto lids.
5. EYELINER: For an unexpected and dramatic look, Natalie wanted a winged-out liner from the bottom lash line up—no liner on the top lash line; we did so using
Make Up For Ever Artist Liner in M-10 Matte Black. But for a pretty and classic look, use the liner on the top lash line only.
6. MASCARA: Apply two coats of
Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant mascara to top lashes.
7. BROW GEL: Brush on one coat of
Make Up For Ever Brow Seal to keep brow hairs up and in place.
8. LIPSTICK: Using the L05 lip brush from the Sigma kit, carefully paint on
Troi Ollivierre Matte Luxe Lipstick in Parker, a vivid statement raspberry which is a fresh alternative to red.
