admitting that she "never thought of [herself] as a pretty girl," Ireland pursued a modeling career at the advice of her cover-girl mother. "She thought it would be good for my confidence."
-Things were quick to take off after she was signed by top modeling agency IMG in March 2013. She made her debut with a swimsuit editorial in the
New York Post that April and has since been shot for
Elle,
W,
Vanity Fair, and
Galore. Looks like that Kim Basinger gene really worked to Ireland's advantage!
