1Oak Haiti Benefit: It's All Fun And Games Until An Errant Sparkler Claims A Victim
Last night, NYC's Haiti support efforts continued with an event at 1Oak. Nigel Barker, Adrienne Bailon, Micah Jesse, Thom Felicia, Wass Stevens, Maggie Norris and Naeem Delbridge witnessed the charity of those getting their dance and drink on to benefit the relief.

The guests, no strangers to the Chelsea nightclub, were also witness to perhaps one of the more dramatic episodes to take place within its well-bounced doors. In the wee hours, former GofG Hamptons writer Carson Griffith's jacket lost a battle with a passing sparkler. The ever incredibly clad Griffith's statement outerwear was burned, prompting a wave of dramatic tweets and chatter by those both familiar with (who doesn't know Carson?) the outspoken darling and others who only recognize the scenester by name. Someone present at the scene described the aftermath, when an unsettling feeling overwhelmed the air, perhaps caused by the smell of charred fur cutting the normal cologne fumes.
While we're sorry to learn of the loss of dear Carson's coat (more room in that ridic closet of yours, Car), the recount of the incident and subsequent shock wave is probably the funniest thing we've heard all week. It's all fun and games until an errant sparkler claims a victim. Please friends, pop bottles responsibly.
