It's Jelly Sunday: Do You Know Where Your Hipsters Are?

by CHRISTINE CHUNG · August 17, 2010

Everyone knows summer in the city means one thing... outdoor live music. Jelly pool parties cover this and then some. Jelly knows how to throw a party, and in combination with All Saints, this summer has seen some crazy packed and pretty much awesome concerts.-

So far, the indie lineup has included big-name cult faves like Cut Copy and Deerhoof, and last Sunday's edition didn't disappoint. Lee Fields, The Strange Boys, Future Islands, and !!! put on quite the show, rain be damned!

Guests were clad in their festival finest, and people watching was a worthy distraction to the lively sets. Some memorable sartorial choices were seen...

The Williamsburg set sought solace from the rain and crowded the All Saints Pub to capacity. Drink and hot dog in hand, hipsters kicked back, relaxed, and indulged in backstage views from the comforts of worn leather couches.

Mick Jagger, circa 1970?

Why so grumpy?

Better yet, the fun just doesn't stop on Jelly Pool Party Sundays. Revelers followed up the fun and got their bowling on at The Deep End at the Brooklyn Bowl.

Jelly Pool Parties are slowly inching towards a close, with only two Sundays left. The series has been a resounding success, and the remaining two concerts are sure to deliver with heavy hitters Chromeo and Delorean performing! We know where we'll be come next Sunday...
