Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jared Leto, Zach Braff At The Darker Side Of Green

[All photos by Jonathan Ziegler for PMc] What better way for Lexus to launch a new hybrid than with a weirdly spastic debate/shindig attended by Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jared Leto, Sarah Silverman, Kevin Bacon, Zach Braff, and other celebs. Um, what?-

Yeah, Lexus is releasing a "CT 200h premium compact hybrid." We don't know what most of those words mean, but we do get that the car uses some combo of green technology that Lexus says is new for North America. Also new? Lexus' strategy of having Sarah Silverman moderate a debate between energy advocate Amanda Little and tiny environmental skeptic Phelim McAleer and . Then Paul Sevigny and The Misshapes played. What the what?

Anyway, the evening was surprisingly rollicking! Maggie Gyllenhaal's shoulders looked like they were melting, Kyra Sedgewick and Kevin Bacon stuck close together, and Norman Reedus and Emmy Rossum stood up straight and looked at things. McAleer and Little did a lot of flailing and were adorably at loggerheads with one another. Then they hugged it out. See?
