Obliterati Welcomes The Teeming Masses Yearning To Drink Free

by Chiara Atik · February 5, 2010

Obliterati really stepped things up for their Social Media Week Party. Free Gin til it runs out! Stripper poles! A Step and Repeat! Gift bags with Raisinettes! -

R Bar was packed for last night's Obliterati: Social Media Week Edition, proving that either everyone under the age of 35 either works in social media, or has recently been fired from social media. (Same difference?)

The bar was so packed, in fact, that it was hard to spot the usual faces in the crowd, but we DID catch glimpses of John Carney, Peter Feld (or was it Peter Feld and John Carney? They are the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern of Social Media), Brian Stelter, Rachel Sklar, Rex Sorgatz, and of course Nick McGlynn, who was running around all night persuading people to pose for his camera (most people didn't need too much persuading.)

Some people also didn't need too much persuading (or, any, actually) to take a few cautious spins on the signature R Bar stripper poles, and let me tell you, you haven't lived until you've seen bloggers attempt to do provocative pole dances before erupting into a fit of giggles.

Over all, everyone seemed to be having a grand ole'time, but no one quite so much as this gentleman, pictured below:

Really he is just delighted by that wooden frame! The girl in the middle seems a bit taken a back by his enthusiasm, though...

The possibilities are ENDLESS!

Why photograph people when you can photograph FRAMES?

The Step and Repeat brought out the maturity in everyone.
