The SPIN 25th Anniversary Party At Hudson Hotel

SPIN Magazine kicked off its anniversary celebration last night with a concert headlined by The Smashing Pumpkins. Last night's performance, also featuring Jim Jones Revue and Kill Hannah,  was the first in a weeklong series of concerts commemorating the magazine's 25 years in music journalism. -

Other headliners include The Flaming Lips (7/27), The Black Keys (7/28), The National (7/29), and space rock act Spiritualized (7/30).-

The magazine hosted an after-party at the Hudson Hotel in Hell's Kitchen. In attendance: Suspenders, bangs on girls, eyeliner on guys, and many pairs of glasses, all sported by a variety of music types who have more fun, trendy things to do on Monday nights than watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Mad Men reruns. Not in attendance: The Real Housewives of New Jersey, interns.
