Last night, Tommy Hilfiger and The Cinema Society threw a party for the new movie "Precious" at the Crosby Street Hotel. This indie flick about an illiterate, overweight Harlem woman certainly has an unexpected fanbase in the hearts of New York Cities rich and fashionable elite. Among those who showed up for the screening and afterparty were Agyness Deyn, Amy Sacco, Carol Alt, Carson Kressley, Fern Mallis, General Colin Powell, Iman, Johannes Huebl and Olivia Palermo, newly-engaged Mamie Gummer, Patrick Demarchelier, Neel Shah, Quincy Jones, Rebecca Guinness, Terrence Howard, Sandra Bernhard, Fabiola Beracasa, Kyra Sedgwick, Alexandra Richards Lee Daniels and Gabourey Sidibe.

WTF? Who are these people? That movie was so much better than.... this guest list! A hard hitting film like this needs hard hitting guests taking part, and if they were there, why werent they photographed? And who cares what they were wearing, its about the film! Bourgeois.

I was pleased to see the star of the film photographed. PS, who did the write up? Some starved Hollywood debutant "illiterate, overweight Harlem woman"... of course her weight was noted, but not the fact that she was sexually abused! You people.
