8. Kim France, the former editor in chief of Lucky Magazine, has joined the new shopping site OpenSky. As a curator at OpenSky, she joins a number of fashion icons including Martha Stewart, Cynthia Rowley and Tom Colicchio. Each curator receives a cut of the proceeds when OpenSky members purchase their suggested items. John Caplan, the CEO of OpenSky and former CEO of Ford Models stated,
"This is boutique shopping in a Facebook-like environment. We're trying to put together the world's most interesting personalities with the most interesting brands."
After the site debuted in April, the membership has grown to over one million members. [
