Carine Roitfeld's New Magazine, CR

3. Former French Vogue editor, Carine Roitfeld, spoke to WWD about her new bi-annual magazine, CR. In describing the new project, Roitfeld borrowed Apple's 90's slogan, "Think Different." Terms like innovative and timeless described the abstractly themed-aspect of the issues (with issues in the works revolving around ideas like "obsession"). CR is expected to be a larger magazine at $9.95 per issue with 288 pages (100 of which would be ads). The globally distributed magazine (with expected translations in the native languages of featured authors) will be operated out of New York's own Standard Hotel. [WWD]
