3. Gucci wins trademark dispute against Guess. Last month, Gucci sued Guess for copying their signature shoe. The court sided with Gucci, and the brand won $4.7 million in damages from Guess and Marc Fisher Footwear, its shoe license. This is only a small fraction of what Gucci actually wanted, though-- they started the battle seeking $221 million. [NYMagazine]
