4. Selfridges has asked its most established brands for fashion film contributions for their The Film Project in celebration of their newly-opened Women's Designer Galleries. Among the chosen ones are the labels
Alexander McQueen,
Comme des Garçons,
Gareth Pugh and
Dries Van Noten.
"The brief to the designers was very open - the only stipulation was that there was a strong female character at the centre of each film. We wanted each designer to freely express their vision of a woman who they found captivating and inspiring," said the store's creative director Alannah Weston.
The short films will be shown from March 15 until March 26 at the Old Selfridges Hotel. For those not in London, they will also be online
