1. Daphne Guinness' designs for Alexander McQueen are set to be auctioned off tonight at Christie's in London. The curator, Pat Frost believes McQueen's designs will bring in the highest bids at the heiress' wardrobe auction. Frost said:

"The dresses and shoes offered here are classic McQueen, so [they] will already appeal to collectors and to fashionistas. McQueen and Daphne formed an electrical circuit of inspiration and creation - their friendship is such a part of the story that pieces created especially for Daphne, like the silver dress, lot 41, are more than the sum of their parts."

One hundred percent of the proceeds raised at the auction will go to the Isabella Blow Foundation, which supports the British fashion industry and helps foster young students. [VogueUK]
