Dr. King once said that he hoped there would come a day when people would not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. Fashion isn't exactly the place to directly apply this axiom, but I don't think it would stop him from being proud of the mark that the women on this list have made in an industry with a long history of ignoring minorities. So maybe it's more the content of their "smize" than their character, but the ladies on this list are trailblazers none the less.
