In effort to promote a healthy lifestyle, designers like Diane von Furstenberg are taking action by not allowing models under 16 to walk in their shows. Models have to provide legal documentation saying they are of age prior to the show. The fashion council has also instated guidelines like providing nutritious snacks backstage and prohibiting models under 18 to work past midnight at fittings or photo shoots. [NY Times]
