Chocolate for the Soul

Walk into the chocolate aisle at Whole Foods or Trader Joes and you will be graced with 10 or more bars of raw, vegan-friendly, paleo chocolate bars. Some are more affordable than others, while some have price points of up to $8 per bar. We've rounded up our favorites below: 1. Chocolove: One of our favorite brands is Chocolove, due to the affordable price and high-quality ingredients. We suggest sticking with their highest quality dark chocolate with the most health benefits. 2. Dagoba: Another dark chocolate favorite is Dagoba, which packs major health benefits in all of their items. Lavender blueberry dark chocolate, anybody? 3. Gnosis: As recommended by Christie Brinkley, Gnosis definitely wins for quality over quantity. 2 servings come per bar, and at roughly $4 per serving, we aren't indulging in this treat everyday. But when we are, it's definitely worth it. Sweetened solely with coconut sugar, Gnosis won't spike your blood sugar or make you feel sluggish. Enjoy this post and pre-workout, or just for fun! 4. Loving Earth: Thought going vegan or paleo meant you can't enjoy caramel anymore? Think again. Loving Earth gives traditional chocolate brands a run for their money. Try the raw caramel bar (made with dates!) and be warned, you'll be addicted after the first bite. [Photos via @perlaero, @absorbdissolve, @janbot89, @brianalee_snaps]
