The FEED Foundation
On behalf of the United Nations World Food Programme, Lauren launched the FEED projects. Lauren designed the iconic FEED bag, made of burlap and masai fabric. The bags are handmade and beaded in Kenya and for each bag purchased, one child will be fed for one school year.
On Wednesday, the FEED Foundation partnered with
Clarins to host a Million Meals concert to celebrate FEED's 5th year anniversary and to raise enough money to provide a million meals to children in need. The concert featured a special appearance by former President Bill Clinton and performances by John Legend, Natasha Bedingfield, Michelle Williams, Alan Gilbert, Violinist and Conductor of the New York Philharmonic, Violist David Aaron Carpenter and Christoph Eschenbach, Pianist and Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra.
