Cuomo, Bob Edelman, Alexandra Macari, Sal Diliberto, Ron Goerler Jr., Jim Trezise, Joe Gergela, Florence Fabricant, Tom Schaudel, Joshua Wesson, and more. Other details: On Saturday, August 23rd, nearly 40 wineries and 30 Top East End chefs gathered with the Long Island Wine Council, Dan's Papers and esteemed guest Andrew M. Cuomo (Governor of New York), for Dan's HARVEST EAST END Wine and Food Classic. Wine enthusiast Joshua Wesson hosted the event, as well as Florence Fabricant, a New York Times dining columnist and cookbook author. In addition, Tom Schaudel, Long Island chef-restaurateur, was also there to host the elegant event. The evening also featured a silent auction, which included Jeroboams bottled especially for the event by local wineries. The awards portion of the event honored various wineries, wines, and guests, including Alexandra Macari of Macari Vineyards for “Winery of the Year.” Dan's HARVEST EAST END benefitted the Long Island Farm Bureau Promotion & Education Foundation and Peconic Land Trust.
