Other details: Edsel Williams and The Fireplace Project hosted an opening reception for “Delay,” a solo exhibition by German artist Dirk Bell. The exhibition features a series of twenty-five paintings as well as site-specific work in neon. Bell’s “modified” paintings move viewers between dissolution and creation–“fresh drama” created from imagery painted over or to the backs of older or repurposed paintings. The exhibition will remain on display through July 20.
