Destry Spielberg, 19
Destry is 19 years old and the daughter of director Steven Spielberg and actress Kate Capshaw. Her father recently purchased Rumba who won $100,000 in the Hunter Derby. Destry showed success in the Equitation ring at the Kentucky Summer Horse Show in 2010 and earned first on her horse Patriot with 85 points. She moved on to 3.6 Equitation. Having such a strong Equitation background prepared Destry for success in the Level 5 Jumpers. Recently she competed in the show jumping event, the Longines Masters, in LA. Her father has remarked that her equestrian passion was her father’s real life inspiration for his film War Horse.
