Surprise, surprise. Did you know polo is also played throughout the winter? There are several tournaments at winter resorts and clubs in England, Switzerland, Sweden, and China. Here is John Fisher, the player of the Hong Kong team after successfully defending the Snow Polo Cup title. He is wearing an embroidered red fleece of his team with white breeches and riding boots. This pair of white tight trousers, called "breeches," is a must-have item for polo players. The pants are made of spandex to accommodate maximum comfort and flexibility and the color white was specifically chosen to help players compete in intense heat.
