Dress to Impress
If we took anything from Lizzie McGuire it's that the biggest faux pas in life is to wear the same thing twice, especially in the Hamptons (hint: Lizzie McGuire you are an OUTFIT REPEATER). We don't care how expensive your shoes were, wearing them to the Surf Lodge two weekends in a row is just no bueno.
Follow the lead of this guy whose conversation was overheard during Memorial Day weekend at Blue and Cream in East Hampton. The sales associate on the phone explained to the caller in detail what he was going to be wearing during the upcoming weekend and when he could expect the packages to arrive at his home. The caller hadn't wished to travel with luggage on his trip out to the Hamptons from New York and thus, he requested that a weekend-wardrobe be pulled and delivered to his home before he arrived for the festivities. If you were wondering, no, this caller wasn't any celebrity (he would probably beg to differ) but just your average Joe. Prices were never mentioned, nor would they ever be. For the sake of anonymity (and the salesperson's job) she later disclosed that this was the norm for many of their customers. So if you thought you could get away with last season's wardrobe, think again... or just don't even bother showing up.
