You Should Know: Rob Wiesenthal

This businessman turned modern day Howard Hughes is probably the most desirably useful person to know in the Hamptons. Sitting snug above the coastline as you fly back to the city in your Blade helicopter, high above the traffic sat, Jitney jammed and LIRR lot below. Charter out a whole seaplane for your gaggle of friends, or book a last minute seat for one. 45 minutes later, you're golden. And all thanks to one Mr. Wiesenthal.

Name: Rob Wiesenthal
Occupation: Founder and CEO of BLADE
Instagram / Twitter: @wiesenthal
Zodiac Sign: Cancer

What do you actually do? Evangelize employees and flyers to build the most exciting brand in consumer aviation.

My motto is: Following a motto is no way to go through life.

5 Favorite Hamptons Places: Sunset Beach, Duryea's, Tutto Di Giorno, The Beacon, Gibson Beach.

The craziest thing I've done out East is... Watched raw documentary footage of Frank Sinatra with the late 60 minutes producer Don Hewitt in his living room.

Best kept Hamptons secret? The Bridgehampton Motoring Club.

If you had one day left out East, what would you do? Boat from Sag Harbor to Montauk.

Who should we know? Eddie Burke, Jr.
