The daughter of a disgraced baroness and an alcoholic sea-captain, Miria's childhood was frequently marred with tragic mishaps and Dickensian misfortunes, ultimately giving birth to an acerbic wit and an unnatural interest in abandoned sea life, and men with missing limbs. Tortured by a suffocating malaise and a haunting sense of existential angst, she has thrown herself into photography, in a dire attempt to articulate the echoing depths within. She now resides in New York, in the company of a depressed rabbit.
