When I think about music scenes in LA I think about Kingdom and those producers and Compton/Bay Area rap, but you also have the very rock-centric crowd. Have you noticed the musical difference between LA, NY, Seattle?
S: Well there are definitely a lot of L.A. artists that I love, like Ariel Pink and Warpaint. You know California bands like Ty Segal, Foxygen, The Garden.
What's keeping you in LA?
S: I have my best friends in the world over there. I feel super creative there. The weather is amazing; I have crazy seasonal depression, as soon as I see the sky gray.
