Historically, the initial inventor of the mini skirt is disputed, but famed British fashion daredevil, and member of the 1960's “Swinging London” movement, Mary Quant (Pictured far left) is unquestionably credited with popularizing the scandalously short skirt. The mini skirt has now been adapted to suit nearly any season or style.
