In southern Africa, Angola's home-brewed beer Cuca is extremely popular. During the 70's and 80's beer was outlawed in parts of southern Africa, resulting in the uprising of bars called "Cuca shops" in honor of Angola's national brew.

Olympic Fact: Joao N'Tyamba, an Angolan runner, was the first and only male track and field athlete to compete at six different olympics. He competed in 2008 at the age of 40.
