Saina Nehwal, India
Hailing from the Hisar district of India, 22 year old badminton star Saina Nehwal is poised to make a run at the Olympic gold this year. She captured titles at the 2009 Indonesia Super Series, the 2010 Singapore Super Series, the 2010, Hong Kong Super Series, and the 2010 India Open Grand Prix helping her achieve a worldwide ranking of #2 in women's singles. Nehwal grew up playing badminton with her parents, both of whom were champions in Haryana. She hopes to make her folks, and her country proud when she takes the court in London.
