Eric Zimmerman & Nathalie Pozzi: Interference
In conjunction with USC Roski School of Fine arts and Indie Cadie 2013, architect Nathalie Pozzi (currently working on a full renovation of a traditional mountain village home in the Italian Alps) and game designer Eric Zimmerman (heard of Diner Dash?) created Interference, a strategic social game where players have to steal. In this interactive installation, five vertical, thin steel game boards with different sized ovals resembling punctured, mechanical cells, hold round pegs. Viewers, er, players have to steal pegs from other games in session (i.e. interfere) in order to win. Not much into strategy? Sit back and cheer on the players in the historic Hayden Tract neighborhood in Culver City.
