Tim Biskup Charge
If you think Tim Biskup's work has a cartoon edge, you're probably picking up on his experience in the animation and art departments of Cartoon Network and Disney, as well as his experience in toy design and production. Combining his professional skills and technical training from art school, Biskup uses acrylics on canvas and linen at his Martha Otero exhibit, Charge. He takes the word 'charge' into almost every definition possible, from its literal definition of being renewed and revived, to its a more abstract definition of "color charge" where "abstract values for abstract forces [are] constantly at work in the universe." Don't get too distracted by the deep multicolor contrasts and patterns in his works to notice the small details in the paintings. You only have a few weeks left to view Tim Biskup's charged works, so go to at Martha Otereo this weekend before it's gone.
