There is, perhaps, no beverage more uniquely American than the Pabst Blue Ribbon. Sure, Coca Cola's iconic, but when people basically universally prefer the Mexican version, that's a pretty strong argument against. Miller High Life could have competed, but they insist on calling it "the Champagne of Beers," and eff the French, right? And Budweiser is Belgian now, so that leaves PBR as the stylish, made-in-America, must-have accessory for the young and so incredibly alt.
