Pick A Subject
Ramsey Mohsen Although chaos can be beneficial to an ugly holiday sweater, you'd be surprised at how much uglier it can get when the designer is trying to hit specific themes. Take Ramsey's sweater in this example. The "Jingle Bells" theme allows for so much variation: the actual bells superglued to the front, the curiously arranged words, the 3D snowballs, the sleigh itself. You could say that working within a theme frees the sweater-maker from the responsibilities of aesthetic symmetry. For an ugly sweater, this is a beautiful thing.
