Now in its 24th year, the Great Chefs of L.A. is a culinary event that easily ranks as one of the best of its kind, and it is happening this Sunday from Noon to 3:30 p.m. on the lot at the CBS Radford Studios.
Bringing together top tastemakers from local restaurants and bakeries, as well as some familiar faces from television's delicious food programming, the event, which follows the theme "Go Green, Go Organic," will benefit the National Kidney Foundation.
Since 1987, the annual event has raised over $4.5 million for the cause, thanks to the food-loving attendees who come out to eat, drink, and be merry.
This year's Host Chefs are Stefan Richter (of Stefan's at LA Farm and TV's "Top Chef" fame) and Candice Kumai, aka The Stiletto Chef (of TLC's "Home Made Simple"), and they will join in recognizing Chef of Honor Jimmy Shaw (of Loteria!). The Beer Chicks will be hosting a beer garden, wine and cocktails will be poured by sponsor wineries and spirits, the Border Grill Truck will be parked and serving up the eats, plus guests can groove to the live DJ and bid in the silent auction. Oh, and there's going to be lots and lots of food to sample.
