Friends + Beer = Art

In all of the recent discussion of Los Angeles' burgeoning craft beer scene, we've yet to see mention of artist Tom Marioni's exhibition at the Hammer Museum: Drinking Beer With Friends Is the Highest Form of Art. The show ($7) features Marioni's beer-bottle-based installations made from the detritus left over from nights of the artist's friends drinking in the museum (which, sadly, were private events). Marioni offers the perfect justification for L.A.'s nascent beer revolution: It's for art's sake.
