The Experience Music Project (EMP) is pleased to announce a star-studded keynote lineup for its 2011 Pop Conference at UCLA, which was organized in partnership with Los Angeles-based public radio station KCRW (89.9FM and KCRW.com), and will be moderated by Music Director Jason Bentley.
The panel will feature major recording artists Moby, Raphael Saadiq, and acclaimed musician/producer David Sitek (TV on the Radio/Maximum Balloon) in a discussion about “How Musicians Make Do and Keep Their Souls Alive in a Changing Pop World.” The discussion will address how artists from different corners of the pop scene — urban music, dance, and indie pop - get by during this exciting and unpredictable new era of ever-changing technology and new business models. The session will be archived, in part, on KCRW.com next week.
