| Description |
For the past eight years, Jocelyn Marsh has been compiling skeletons, butterflies, vintage toys, and other odds and ends and materials, bringing them together with parts fabricated from metals such as gold, copper, bronze, and pewter to form creatures that are yet unseen that tell their own fictional stories. Her work is sculptural, delicately intricate, and very highly detailed.
'Advancements in Science (Fiction)' showcases Jocelyn's work to date and features selected pieces from four previous collections as well as a preview of her newer creations. An astounding fifty pieces of varying sizes are on display and weave the elaborate tale of her work's evolution.
Jocelyn has participated in several group shows in the Los Angeles area and last year was part of an exhibition at the acclaimed Bert Green Fine Art in downtown Los Angeles. A selection of her unique objects are held in private collections and sold in boutiques in New York and throughout Los Angeles, where she currently resides.
Due to an incredible turnout at both the opening and the June Artwalk, we have added a closing reception for the show.
