Slide #2

Ryan Gosling, NYC Street Hero
This has been a pretty good year to be Ryan Gosling. He's opened like 25 movies, where he's been praised for his talent, charm, and versatility, essentially establishing himself as the non-annoying James Franco. After the kickassness of Drive, guys are even willing to forgive him for The Notebook. But behind the scenes, Gosling is also apparently a Batman-like figure, deploying his rippling biceps in support of the little people, as you can see in the video above, where he singlehandedly breaks up a brawl between a street vendor and a man who stole one of the vendor's paintings, and makes the thief pay back the vendor. In a similar story, I thought about shoplifting a bottle of Bacardi from Ralph's yesterday, but then decided not to. Ryan, we're both heroes! [video via]
