Kim Basinger Buys A Town In Georgia For $20 Million

Is Kim Basinger crazy? We know the Oscar winner has called 911 and the paparazzi on ex-husband Alec Baldwin multiple times, but the kind of crazy we're talking about manifests itself in larger ways. Like, for example, buying an entire town in north-east Georgia as part of a half-assed development scheme, which is exactly what Kim did after getting stuck in traffic in Braselton, Georgia, seeing a sign that said "If You Lived Here, You'd Be Home Right Now," and taking a little ride on the crazy train. Originally, the plan was to place film production studios, a theme park, and various attractions in the town, but after dropping $20 mil on the whole thing, various development projects sputtered before Kim and her partners ultimately unloaded the whole thing for $1 million and declared bankruptcy.
