If you don't know about Pela, run, don't walk, to your nearest iTunes and snap up Anytown Graffiti with the quickness. What you can't do, unfortunately, is see their legendary live show, since they broke up in 2009, but there's a silver lining: singer/guitarist/frontman Billy McCarthy is in a very, very good new band. That band is called We Are Augustines, they made a kick-ass album this year called Rise Ye Sunken Ships that's getting a lot of the praise that Anytown Graffiti should have got, and their live show is the closest thing you'll ever get to seeing Pela. Oh, right, and they're playing Coachella on Saturday, and I will be as close to the stage as humanly possible. So excited for this one. [via]
